I'm a Roxanne P. fan, have one of her CD's but had never heard her live.
I think she has a gorgeous voice, and I love her rockin' songs, but when she does the ballad type ones, where you hear the beauty of her voice, you can't hear the words. I thought Dawson's guitar was WAY too loud. We were there to hear her, not him, much as I know what a great musician he is.

Hi all,
I'm holidaying in Whistler first week in November so asked my old friend & fellow shantyman Tom Lewis what's on folk-wise & he suggested I keep an eye on your site. GREAT suggestions; looking good & hope to see you in November!
Cheers, Cap'n Otto.

Hi Steve,
I would love to see Mary Gauthier at the Rogue Folk in the future... Did you get a chance to see her at the Vancouver Folk Fest this year? I saw her last summer at the Duncan Folk Fest and she blew me away. One of the best performers I've ever seen (I saw her on main stage there, as well as in their intimate concert room - she was excellent in both venues)
Cheers! Linda

Experienced Willie & Lobo for the first time last night. One of the top ten musical experiences i've ever attended. Thanks for bringing them to Vancouver for all of us to enjoy!!

Steve, I noticed that the Low Anthem are coming back to town in May and that they are playing at the Biltmore, of all places. I saw them at the St. James last time and feel that it's a much better place for their sound. On their web site they say that they can play clubs and just adapt their songlists but it was such a great show at the church. I'm hoping that you can use your influence to get them to change venues if it's not too late. The Biltmore is a good club and I recently saw Hey Marseilles there but for this particular band I just feel that it's a mistake.

Belatedly leaving a note to say how spectacular the Reid Jameson show was.
Thank you for bringing him to our attention. My wife and I really appreciate the role you play in promoting the best this city has to offer.
That show was one of a kind in our books. So much talent, history in the making, great sound, over too soon. A fantastic evening that I meant to comment on sooner. Cheers.

I just took a look at last years concerts and am disappointed that I didn't learn about your group sooner. My husband and I love Celtic and Folk music and I think it would be to our advantage to join this group. Thanks for bringing such great acts to Vancouver.

The Rogue Folk Club is where I see phenomenal musicians in an intimate setting -- I am often sitting there ASTOUNDED by the musicians I am hearing and the great opportunity to see them up close and personal. I have been introduced to so much great music I never would have heard otherwise. Keep up the good work!

I am new to Canada. Finding your folk site is a great relief to me, as I have been missing my music terribly since arriving in October.
I am a singer on the folk scene in the UK and I am looking for singers' sessions and mixed music sessions, as I also play one or two things. I enjoy singing acapella, harmony and accompanied.
No doubt I'll be up to Vancouver when I can, but if anyone has any information about where I can find such things closer to home on the Lower Mainland, I would be so grateful.
