Kevin Burke's Open House

Open House members are Kevin Burke, fiddle; Paul Kotapish, guitar, mandolin and cittern; Mark Graham, voice, harmonica and clarinet; and Sandy Silva, the "drummer" of the band with her rhythmic and percussive dancing. They play a mixture of traditional music drawn from various cultures with Sandy adding an impressive visual presence to the group's concert performances. Kevin is a former member of Ireland's legendary Bothy Band. One of the very best fiddlers anywhere!

After playing together for many years and making 3 fabulous recordings, Open House finally disbanded in January 1999. We are delighted that they have reunited for this tour of the West Coast.

There will be a short opening set by White Rock's young fiddle sensation Kierah. She started classical violin with the Suzuki program at 4 years old and will soon begin 2 years with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Her true passion, however, is performing and composing Celtic fiddle music. I received your CD yesterday and it hasn't left my CD player since.
