Rogue Folkies Jam

Come to Aberthau Mansion at the West Point Grey Community Centre on a Sunday morning and meet fellow musicians to play bluegrass, folk and old time music in a beautiful setting. The amazing acoustic quality of the mansion makes it ideal for unamplified music and voices. This is an ideal opportunity for musicians to get together to experience the fun and variety of music jams. Musicians must have a firm grasp on the fundamentals of their instrument, be able to change basic chords, and understand the Nashville Numbering System and jam etiquette. It's also helpful if you come prepared to lead a song in the jam circle. Musicians from the Rogue Folk Club will be available to lead the jam sessions..

Aberthau Mansion is a beautiful heritage Tudor-style mansion located at 4397 West 2nd Avenue at Trimble Street. The grounds are great for picnics, and the house is 2 minutes from Jericho Beach. There's lots of free parking.

Upcoming Events: Every Sunday from 11am to 1pm - January 5th to April 19th.

Registration: There is no charge, but it is necessary to register in advance. Please go here for more information. (This session is now full, but there is a waitlist.)
