Élise LeBlanc
Élise LeBlanc (They/Them) is a country/Americana singer-songwriter based in Victoria, BC. Raised on bluegrass, folk, and southern gospel deep in Ontario’s tobacco belt, their sound is rooted in traditional music and rural life.
In their songwriting and performance, Élise channels the spirit of classic country, Appalachian folk and western swing, with hints of Cajun spice. Their themes explore queer desire, resilience and heartbreak through traditional storytelling.
Élise’s vocal delivery, characterized by a gentle twang and rich vibrato, frequently draws comparisons to classic crooners like Patsy Cline and Peggy Lee. In late 2023, they released their critically acclaimed second album 'The Fiddle & The Fire', produced by Leeroy Stagger, and earned a spot on Bandcamp’s top 10 country albums. 'The Fiddle & The Fire' was also featured in Country Queer and on CBC Radio.
Beyond the studio, Élise is a captivating live performer, having performed at prominent Canadian folk festivals and toured extensively throughout Canada, the US, and the UK. Devoted to bringing front porch soul to the stage, they also host Victoria's popular "Honky Tonk Tuesdays," and “Queer Country Hoedown” events, keeping the traditional two-step community alive while carving out a progressive path for modern roots music.
Oh Pray Tell
Oh Pray Tell is a Kootenay, BC based trio of Sally Titasey, Shayna-Adjowa Jones, and Betty Supple, blending roots, gospel, acoustic R&B, folk, and experimental folklore. Their soulful alchemy weaves storytelling, spoken word, and three-part harmonies into a powerful, immersive experience. They speak to the times with honesty, confronting hard topics while holding listeners gently, wrapping them in rich, satisfying harmonies that offer comfort, resonance and connection.
Betty Supple and Sally Titasey have been in relationship since they were teens. Music-making was an integral part of their connection. In 2015 they took on the name Oh Pray Tell and began as a stomp/clap/harmony duo. In 2024, Shayna-Adjowa Jones, a multi-disciplinary Spoken Word artist, joined the group to form their trio.
The trio released their first EP in February 2026 and are actively recording their debut full-length album, set to release in February 2027. Since their formation as a trio they have played dozens of shows across the province. Highlights include opening four shows with the 2026 Juno award nominee PIQSIQ; performance for the 30,000+ Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival; and playing to sold-out shows in numerous venues across the province including Key City Theatre (Cranbrook), Pacific Theatre (Vancouver), and Golden Civic Theatre (Golden).
