Lennie Gallant

‘Shelter From the Storms’ reflects on the turbulent times we’re living in while celebrating the human ability to navigate through hardship with community, love and laughter. 

The album garnered Gallant the 2026 Canadian Folk Music Awards Solo Artist of The Year and was also named in the Top Ten Folk Albums of 2025 by the Roots Music critics poll and members of the Canadian music industry.

Gallant’s music crosses into folk/rock and country, while celebrating the musical heritage of his home province of Prince Edward Island. Gallant’s iconic song ‘Peter’s Dream’ (1994) was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. His album ‘When We Get There’ traveled aboard the International Space Station, orbiting Earth 248 times - which Gallant jokes finally gave him “high rotation worldwide!” 

Gallant has shared the stage with symphony orchestras and many artists, including Jimmy Buffett, who featured him as a guest vocalist and co-writer on his final album. Lennie also performs with his partner, Patricia Richard, as the Francophone duo Sirène et Matelot. 

A celebrated humanitarian and storyteller, Gallant was appointed to the Order of Canada, where he was honored for songs described as “true slices of life delivered with a poet’s flair and a rugged emotional sensibility.

Lennie will be performing as a trio.
